These are the terms of service for Avara Designs (the "Studio", "we", "us"). By using this website or hiring us to build your site, you agree to the following.

What we do

Avara Designs is a boutique web studio that designs and builds custom websites for local service businesses. Project scope, fees, and deliverables are agreed in writing per project before work begins.

The free preview

  • If you submit your URL through the free-preview form, we'll send back a redesigned preview before any agreement is signed.
  • The preview is yours to keep, with no obligation to hire us.
  • The preview is built quickly to give you a feel for the redesign — final production sites involve more iteration, real content, and full QA.

Paid engagements

  • Project pricing falls in the $1,000–$2,500 range for standard small-business sites, broken into Starter, Standard, and Pro tiers. A typical engagement covers custom design, mobile optimization, basic SEO, and forms. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately and agreed in writing.
  • We invoice 50% on kickoff, 50% on launch, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • You own the final site, the source files, and the hosting account. There are no recurring fees unless you opt into our optional monthly maintenance ($99/mo).

Intellectual property

Once a project is paid in full, the site and its assets are yours. We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio (including on this site under /concepts) unless you ask us not to. Stock photos and third-party assets remain under their original licenses.

Liability

We deliver to a high standard, but websites are software and software has bugs. Our liability is capped at the amount you paid for the project. We're not responsible for downtime caused by third-party services (host, domain registrar, etc.) or for content you publish on the site.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects any changes. Material changes are communicated to active clients directly.
